Job Title: 4th Grade Teacher
Location: Blue Mountain Christian School (BMCS)
Position Type: Full-Time

 

Overview:
Blue Mountain Christian School (BMCS) is seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th Grade Teacher to join our Christ-centered learning community. The ideal candidate will have a heart for Christian education, a love for working with children, and a commitment to academic excellence rooted in biblical truth.

 

Qualifications:

  • A degree in education or a related field is required

  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience (if the applicant does not have a teaching degree)

  • Teaching certification is a plus, but not required

  • Must agree with and adhere to the BMCS Statement of Faith 

  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to integrate a biblical worldview into all areas of instruction
     

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow the lesson plans laid out in our science textbooks, in alignment with BMCS curriculum guidelines.

  • Integrate biblical principles into classroom teaching and model a Christ-centered life for students

  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and respectful classroom environment

  • Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, colleagues, and administration

  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events

  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and school-wide initiatives

  • Uphold and support the mission, vision, and values of Blue Mountain Christian School
     

Spiritual Expectations:

  • Demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ

  • Supports and actively lives out the BMCS Statement of Faith

  • Prays for students and colleagues and is committed to the spiritual formation of each child
