Job Title: Part-Time MS/HS Math Teacher

Job Overview:

Blue Mountain Christian School is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced part-time Math Teacher for our Middle and High School students. This individual will play a key role in fostering academic excellence while incorporating Christian values into the classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, a heart for teaching, and a commitment to nurturing the spiritual and intellectual growth of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach middle school and high school math courses (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, and possibly higher-level math courses).

• Create and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.

• Assess and evaluate students' progress through tests, assignments, and projects.

• Provide clear, constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance.

• Foster a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere that integrates Christian principles.

• Support students' personal growth and help them develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of curriculum and academic standards.

• Maintain open communication with students and parents regarding academic performance and classroom behavior.

• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development as required.
   

Qualifications:

• Required: Teaching experience in middle school and/or high school mathematics.

• Strong knowledge of math concepts and the ability to teach a variety of math courses.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• A passion for teaching and an ability to inspire students.

• Ability to integrate Christian faith with teaching practices.

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• A commitment to the mission and values of Blue Mountain Christian School.
   

Preferred:

• Teaching certification (though not required).

• Experience in a Christian educational setting.

• Familiarity with current educational technology tools and resources.
